The Global Advocate Program is a job training corps run by Mama Hope that teaches recent college graduates and professionals in transition from around the world how to develop and implement a non-profit initiative.
The program takes 9 months and has locations in both the US and Africa. Trainees raise at least $20,000 to fund a community-identified project in Africa while learning about project development, human-centered design, fundraising, marketing, storytelling, and Connected Development. There are program areas in education, youth development, clean water, agriculture and food security, and health care.
Advocates create a plan for their project in partnership with leaders in Mama Hope's partner communities. They then visit their project site to oversee and document the implementation of the plan. Upon returning, they mentor the next group of trainees on what they have learned from their projects.
The program has facilitated the growth of St. Timothy's Primary School in Moshi, Tanzania. Mama Hope partnered with the local community in 2008 to expand St. Timothy's School from a class taught under a tree to a school with 9 classrooms, 15 teachers, 300 students, a nursery school, a food security garden which feeds all children and teachers, a boarding home, and a solar powered computer lab.

St. Timothy's has 9 classrooms.
Mama Hope is currently developing M&E strategies.
